Jonathan, a Facebook user, recently encountered a frustrating issue with his computer's sound system.

On January 28, 2025, he took to social media to share his woes, posting a photo of his computer setup along with a description of the problem.

Jonathan explained that he had restarted his computer the previous day, and since then, his audio output had mysteriously stopped working.

Despite having his speakers connected via the AUX cable, his computer no longer recognized the connection. Perplexed and unsure of the cause, he turned to his Facebook friends for assistance.

The online community responded with a flurry of suggestions and potential solutions.

One user, Yustr Ruxiea, pointed out that the speaker icon on Jonathan's screen had a red "X" through it, indicating either muted audio or a lack of connected speakers.

Ruxiea also advised Jonathan to check the connections and try blowing out any dust that might be obstructing the ports.
